Best of Holiday Skincare Sets, Gift Guide?

If you want to get some great skincare, now is a great time with all the holiday sets out. Maybe better skin is one of your New Year’s resolution, or you are picking up a last-minute gift, but these sets are too good to pass up! So I guess that makes it kind of a skincare gift guide? Anyways, I kept it to sets with products that I’ve mostly already tried and enjoys, so I’m confident you will find something you enjoy no matter which you pick. All products I’ve blogged about can be found in Skincare Product Glossary. And don’t forget to take advantages of all the promotions!

  • Remember to use Ebates or cashback sites when shopping online.
  • Sephora have 20% off on sales section right now for VIB Rouge with code EXTRAROUGE and this weekend for everyone else with a different code I believe.
  • Nordstrom do price match in addition to GWP, so if Sephora have the same product but is OOS, you might be able to persuade Nordstrom to give you 20% off as well.
  • Tatcha gives you promo code for a mini product when signing up for email, AND you get $25 off $50 for referral (comment if you’d like me to email you a referral).
  • You can also get great skincare at discount price on Gilt City and Ruelala (click referral link for $20 and $10 off for new accounts). Or SokoGlam for your Korean beauty ($10 off for new account with this referral).

Cheap thrills (<$15)

Tarte Maracuja oil is a stable of mine since it works on skin, nail, hair and I enjoyed using their eye cream as well. Their Bright By Night Skincare Discovery Set and Sweet Dreams Deluxe Best Seller Set are a great way to try them for cheap. Appropriate for all skin types.

I’ve also been obsessed with Tatcha recently. While products are usually specific to skin type, the ones that I think everyone should try and will love are the Camellia Cleansing Oil, Rice Enzyme Powder, and Dewy Skin Mist.

Clean it and mask it

I tend to get lazy with skincare during holiday seasons, but clean skin is the first step to good skincare. For convenience, there’s Ole Henriksen Glow On The Go with wipes for all skin type. And my favorite Boscia Japanese Cleansing Ritual comes with makeup remover, cleanser, exfoliator and sponge to cover all your cleansing need.

If your skin has been dehydrated due to the weather, these sets might be just what you need. I’ve loved almost everything I tried from Peter Thomas Roth and Fresh. Whether you have oily, combination, sensitive, aging or dry sin, PTR Mask-A-Holic has everything you need. Or go for Skinstant Mask Magic if you just want the best three. Fresh have plenty of skincare sets available on Sephora and Nordstrom, but my favorite is the Mask Must-Haves, which is out of stock right now but I hope will come back soon.

Complete Skincare Regimen (<$50 ish)

If you don’t like the hassle of trying a little here and there, there are plenty of sets that comes with everything you need in a regimen. Ole Henriksen Truth Serum and Lemon Strip are my holy grail products that I’ve been using for years. The 3 Little Wonders+Cleanse and The Fab 5 sets are a great start if you are interested in Ole Henriksen. While those two are more for combination skin, Tatcha also have a Ritual Discovery Set for each skin type.

The luxurious (~$100)

I saw Foreo Luna Set for Combination Skin in Sephora’s sale section briefly before it was gone. I bought it last month and loved it, so I definitely recommend it if you see it. But when it comes to beautiful packaging, no one does it better than Tatcha. The Travel Set is great especially if your skin is starting to get stressed from all the holiday travel, and Hakken Special Introductory Set is a more complete skincare regimen set than the Discovery Set with the inclusion of eye product and SPF.

SK-II is a very popular high-end brand and I liked what I tried so far, SK-II Pitera Essence Set Red Butterfly Limited Edition comes with Essence, Mask and Lotion for $99. If the holiday set is sold out, the set is also available in plain packaging year round at Sephora and Nordstrom. Another great discovery for me is Skin Inc, I only start trying products this month so I haven’t gotten a chance to review yet, but I’m loving the hyaluronic serum and being able to customize my own serum?!?! Skin Inc. My Daily Dose Custom-Blended Serum Set is amazing for picky skincare addicts.

I usually compare and review products rather than talk about buying, but these deals and sets are too good not to share. So, what awesome deals and goodies did you get (or is planning to get) this holiday season?

    1. They are! I like skincare better than makeup, but feel a bit wistful sometimes cuz makeup are so much prettier and skincare looks boring. Tatcha satisfies my craving, lol. Every item is beautifully packaged and feels like an LE item. You should try the brand sometimes, the travel sizes are not too expensive and there’s frequently discount.
